Crab stix

This is a crab that was being awfully compliant to my need to take a photo of him, the last time I was in Durban. (wow that was long ago!) I think he might have been sick or dying, or an Elvis impersonator, what do I know about crabs? Isn’t he a strange, strange beasty. Sometimes you forget how alien other life forms can be!

bloody hell!

Okay so my legs are very sensitive. They hate it when something cuts their blood supply off and tend to react badly. Here are three mosquito bites that prove that. Yes they are mosquito bites. I got them on Sunday.
A. After my walk on Monday, broken blood vessels and yes, god they itched royal!!
B. After my walk on Tuesday, more blood vessels broken and damaged, twice as itchy. What do you think tomorrow will bring? *whimper*

I made blueberry and raspberry pancakes for my new family on Xmas eve. Don’t they look yummy? I’ve never eaten any of the pancakes I make, but they do go down a treat for you omnivorous sorts! Want some?

My hearts desire

Oh my smurf! Look at these beautiful things, I could cry, I think I just did! I love super ripe bananas, they are just so damn yummy and make the tastiest banana ice-cream!
[Banana ice-cream: - mash a bunch of ripe nana’s in a bowl, ideally plastic, pop on lid, freeze for 4 – 7 hours, Depending how hard you want it to go, then grab a spoon and eat the food of the gods!!] BANANAS WE LOVE YOU!!!

Sprouting

This is a grand pic of my very orange skin, against someone with a normal, skin coloured hand. Winter fruit, being Vitamin C and Beta Carotene rich, overdosing changes my skin alarmingly orange. I’m forever asked if I have jaundice or told I should wash my hands / face properly. :P In summer it SLOWLY goes back to the original whiter-then-death shade I usually am.

Bone Most Pit

Sticking to meat, what do you think of all this? It’s a huge open pit where customers can select their own rack of ribs! To a meat eater that must look so tasty but I must admit to me it’s kinda creepy, like a whole pit of death and dismemberment. Each to their own I guess?

The whole hog?

Now see when I first saw this large lump of meat all wrapped up in plastic, I figured it was a leg o lamb or beef or some other critter that didn’t make it, but closer inspection reveled... well lets just say if you look about mid-way you can see the tusk-like teeth, the top would be the snout… Yip it’s a full pig's head! I asked my housemate to buy it so I could remove the ears from the eye sockets and see what’s hidden there, but curiously, he refused… pity I would have let him have the teeth to suck on…
